In a significant show of community support and faith, Parsons of Eagle River has announced a $10,000 donation to Praise in the Pines, a local Christian music and community event.
The contribution marks a deepening partnership between the local dealership and the event, driven by a shared vision of unity and hope for the Eagle River area.
For the team at Parsons, the decision to support the event went beyond standard corporate sponsorship; it was motivated by a desire to foster a deeper sense of connection during the holiday season.
“At Parsons, we believe Christmas is about more than decorations and gifts — it’s about hope found in Jesus’ birth and the love that flows from it,” said Jenny Gretzinger, owner of Parsons of Eagle River. “By supporting Praise in the Pines, we’re grateful for the opportunity to help spread something deeper than Christmas cheer. We truly believe events like this can change lives, and we’re honored to be part of it.”
Investing in community values
The substantial commitment comes after Parsons employees experienced the event from the ground up. According to Gretzinger, the dealership’s involvement began personally before it grew financially.
“A few of our team members volunteered at Praise in the Pines last year and saw firsthand what an incredible impact it has on our community,” she explained. “The joy, the worship, and the togetherness were unforgettable. That experience made it an easy decision for us to go all in this year.”
The donation highlights a core aspect of the Parsons business philosophy: active investment in the local culture and the spiritual wellbeing of their neighbors.
“Supporting Praise in the Pines aligns perfectly with who we are at Parsons,” Gretzinger said. “We care deeply about our community, and this event brings people together in a meaningful way. We’re proud to support something that encourages faith, unity and hope.”
As Praise in the Pines prepares for its upcoming gathering slated for next October, the support from Parsons of Eagle River ensures the event can continue to reach a wider audience. However, for Gretzinger and her team, the ultimate goal isn’t just a successful event, but a lasting impact on the attendees.
“This is about more than an event, it’s about investing in people and our community,” Gretzinger said. “After volunteering last year and seeing the impact firsthand, we hope our support helps spark a lifetime relationship with God for those that attend.”
Volunteer Praise in the Pines board members are always appreciative of those within the community that step up to help support the event.
“Thank you to our generous business sponsor Parsons who believe in our mission,” said Praise in the Pines board member Kim Ritchie. “Their generosity helps us continue serving our community and making a meaningful impact in the lives of those who need it most.”
